We could scratch until we’re worn through

We could run in circles being and doing

We could fly straight into the sun

We could even call it love



We could give til it hurts

We could stay until we disappear

We could tie ourselves down on tracks of tears

We could even call it love



We can make it fit

We can try our best

We can fix a hard stare into the light

But we can’t call it anything unless the foundation is built on Love
